Thanksgiving Day



On Thanksgiving Day many of the retailers opened their stores for shopping. Instead of enjoy the holiday shoppers are making deal around the clock and are getting a jumpstart on black Friday. 

Some are feeling guilty on the day because of carving out this time away from families and they flooded   the Kmart in Midtown Thursday night. “It’s unethical,” said Samantha Peterkin-Burkett. “I really, really feel bad.” 

On the day Walmart has offered the Black Friday 2014 online sales and are offering discounted prices for customers.     

The St. Louis County police arrested six people on the day who was disturbing New York's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in retaliation to a grand jury's decision in the Ferguson case. The police arrested those people when they threw an object from building near the parade where thousands of people gathered Thursday morning. 

On the day President Obama gave the thanksgiving message and House Speaker Boehner revealed his turkey Braine cooking tips.     

Thanksgiving Day is the national holiday that celebrates last Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in the Canada.   

In New York City more than 5000 people gathered in the store in the East Harlem neighborhood opened at 6 p.m. and 200 people rushed at Toys R Us in New York City's Times Square when it opened at 5 p.m.
