The grand jury did not indict the
white New York police officer who was chokehold the “Eric Garner”, an unarmed black man. The chokehold by the police
officer led to Eric’s death in July, can see in the captured video.
The decision came in Wednesday
afternoon by the officials who did not indict the officer named Daniel Pantaleo, 29. The grand jury has
decided that there is no evidence against the officer after seeing the footage
and hearing from witnesses.
Eric Garner arrested for allegedly
selling loose cigarettes, officer Panteleo who has been in job since eight
years, did not intend to choke the Eric and has cleared by the Jury on November
21.
Eric’s Wife Esaw Garner said in a news conference, "He's still working,
he's still getting a paycheck, he's still feeding his kids, and my husband is
six feet under. "He should be here
celebrating Christmas and Thanksgiving and everything else with his children
and grandchildren. And he can't. Why? Because a cop did wrong."
The July 17 video shows that the officer
Daniel caught the Garner in a chokehold and put him onto the ground and preceded
him continually while Eric repeatedly said “I can’t breathe”.
The grand jury has taken the
decision in case of Michael Brown
same like the Eric case in which the jury did not indict the criminality of
another white police officer Darren
Wilson who shot and killed the 18 year old Michael Brown.
President Obama said this week
that the White House would call for $75
million to make 50,000 body cameras available to police departments
across the country.
