“Blurred Lines” Jury awarded Marvin Gaye’s family with $ 7.4 million



 
A Jury has awarded Marvin Gaye’s children with $ 7.3 million Tuesday in Los angles for determining the singers Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams.

The singers gave the 2013 “Blurred Lines” who was based on the Marvin Gaye’s music. Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams copied the music for “Blurred Lines” on Marvin Gaye’s hit song "Got to Give It Up" in 1977. 

Gaye had died in April 1984, but leaving the copyright of his music to their children. His children - Nona, Frankie and Marvin Gaye III - sued Thicke and Williams in 2013. Nona wept as the verdict was read in court. 

"Free from... Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke's chains and what they tried to keep on us and the lies that were told." She told to the reporters.
