Chardon school shooter T.J. Lane escaped from Ohio prison



T.J. Lane escaped from the Allen Correctional Institution on Thursday night, who killed three students in Chardon high school cafeteria in 2012. Criminal attorney Ian Friedman, who was defending T.J. Lane shocked to hear that Lane had escaped from the Allen Correctional institution in Lima.

The 19 year old T.J. Lane escaped with Clifford Earl Opperud, 45 about 5:30 p.m. from the prison in Lima. According to the Lima police both of men about 72 miles north of Dayton.

Lane convicted in the shooting of three students who died and other three are injured at that time. He fired 10 shots from a .22-caliber handgun in the morning of Feb. 27, 2012 at the group who was sitting on the table at cafeteria.

Lane succeeds to run away from the school but later officials found him just a mile away. Lane told to the police he just “killed a bunch of people,” he did not why he killed the people and “I don’t really understand myself”.

The judge later imposed three life sentences. During his sentencing, Lane wore a “killer” word written t-shirt.
Lane's former attorney, Ian Friedman, posted on Twitter: "#TJLane I've been asked whether he is a danger. Answer is no one ever wants to return to prison for a life sentence. Plus, case facts speak," Friedman tweeted.  

It is unclear till now how he got success to get away. The police started search of two men who considered dangerous. The Chardon Local School District said, now our first priority to safe people and our officials has ready to handle the situation.
