Actress Jan Hooks Died at 57

The versatile actress and comedian “Jan Hooks” passed away Thursday morning at age of 57 in New York City. He was best known for her appearance in “Saturday Night Live” in 1986. The actual cause of death was not yet known but she was suffering from a serious illness.

Jan Hooks left a great impression with her unique roles on Designing Women and 3rd Rock from the Sun. she played a memorable role of Nancy Reagan, Ivana Trump, Sinéad O'Connor and the wife of disgraced televangelist Jim Bakker, Tammy Faye Bakker. 

Jan was best known for her role as Candy Sweeney and Hooks said "That show changed my life". The funny actress joined SNL alongside Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey and Victoria Jackson till 1991.

Jan was born at Decatur, Georgia but after that she grew up at Atlanta. She began acting when she joined the University of West Florida. The big break came in Hooks’ life with role in 'Pee-wee’s Big Adventure' in 1985.

Jan won the Georgia- area Emmy Award for her best performance in Tush. Hooks’ loved one and co-star are paying tribute to her on twitter.   

She was the best comedian actress; she will always be remembering by her fans. Our thoughts and feelings are with her friends and family members.
