Anascape Ltd has finally won after a two year long battle. Nintendo of America Inc. was ordered to pay Anascape, small East Texas gaming company twenty one million dollars on May14, Wednesday for infringing on a patent while designing controllers for its popular Wii and GameCube systems. Anascape had originally files a law suit in 2006 against both Nintendo and Microsoft, for twelve different game hardware and controller related patents.
Microsoft had settled with Anascape on May1, the details of the arrangement were not made public.
The news is that 'Nintendo' is 'intendo' to seek an appeal in order to reduce the award "significantly."
