Electric car maker Tesla motors CEO
announced D on Thursday means “Dual motors” and introducing some new features
with its model S Sedan. On Thursday night Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that he
did not introduce the self driving car that had people expected but add some
safety features.
Musk said in an interview that his favorite
car is the super-fast McLaren, a high-dollar, low-volume production car
with racing attributes. Musk said that Model S has capacity to 60 mph in little
more than 3 seconds. It will also have a
capacity of travel on single charge 275 miles with an increase of 10 miles.
The another feature of the D that
will include for the driver by a turn signal and the autopilot will even enable the car to park itself after the driver hops out,
Mashable notes. It also adds a safety features with 12 sensors.
Musk said "It's like active
safety [within] the limit" of affordable science and regulations. There will
be three versions of the model D and the top model the AD P85D is expected to
start in December and the other one in February.
Analysts have said that company
sold 13850 cars in U.S.A through September that was down three percent from the
previous year.
