Lynch’s “Twin Peaks” is coming back
on Showtime in 2016. Lynch posted on twitter they come with the new series in coming 2016.
Twin Peaks first arrived on ABC
in 1990 and second in 1991 after that theatrical film "Twin Peaks: Fire
Walk with Me" by Lynch aired in 1992.
Lynch tweeted "Dear
Twitter Friends... it is happening again ... #damngoodcoffee," according
to Showtime the third series of Twin Peaks will be limited of nine episodes.
Lynch and Frost write and produce all these nine episodes and David Lynch
directs entire series.
Twin Peaks was set with mysterious
when a girl named Laura Palmer has been murdered and her body was discovered
from a beach near the small Washington state town of Twin Peaks. Now FBI
special agent Dale Cooper is called up to investigate her strange demise and to
solve the mystery.
The first two series ran on ABC
starred Kyle MacLachlan as
Dale Cooper and Sheryl
Lee as Laura Palmer and other star cast are Michael Ontkean, Madchen Amick, Sherilyn Fenn, Peggy Lipton, Ray Wise.
Twin peaks is returning after 25
years on Showtime, in the final episode of Twin Peaks Laura Palmer says,
"I will see you again in 25 years." Now it is looking that she is good on that
promise.
In 2016, Showtime will re-air the
new series so it’s time to start the counting.
