“Petals On The
Wind,” is latest movie version of the novel written by V.C. Andrews, sequel of “Flowers
In The Attic”. The movie has premiered on Monday, May 26 and Lifetime’s 2014
adaptation. There are some differences between book and the movie.
It is based on book which was published in 1980, told
the story of the Dollanganger children’s life outside of the attic of Foxworth
Hall, where they were captive by their own mother and grandmother for many
years.
After a decade Cathy,
Christopher, and Carrie escaped from their grandparents. Petals on the wind
perpetually follow twisted on the family. They attempt to put their past behind
them, but afterwards find it never left behind.
When Cathy finds herself in an
abusive relationship with a fellow dancer, Julian Christopher and she feel to
forbidden. When Cathy again suffers the Dollangangers, she returns to the Foxworth
Hall to confront her grandmother and pursue revenge on her mother. When
Christopher runs to Cathy's side, the two are determined to start over again -
together.
