Frontier Airlines is planning to
start 14 non-stop services to new destinations from Dulles International
Airport announced on Tuesday. The destinations include Chicago, Las Vegas and
Tampa, from Dulles International Airport. The domestic flights decreased day by
day over past few months, the number of passengers decreased from Dulles International
Airport to 14.7 million between January
2013 and January 2014, a 6 percent drop.
“The addition of Frontier to the
Dulles family represents a significant, positive development for passengers
interested in additional low-cost domestic travel options to and from the
National Capital Region,” said Jack
Potter.
The new launch of Frontier Airlines will start in schedule
between mid-August and mid-September. To come out with new destinations, the
airline is offering special $15-each-way fares with additional fees for items
like use of overhead bins, or extra leg room. The airline is offering a 12-hour;
one-day-only sale and tickets can be purchased by 11:59 p.m.
Nonstop service to Atlanta;
Charlotte, North Carolina; Orlando, Florida; Minneapolis/St. Paul;
Chicago-O'Hare and Tampa, Florida begins August 19.
Service to Cincinnati, Ohio;
Detroit; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Las Vegas; Memphis, Tennessee; Fort Myers,
Florida; St. Louis and St. Augustine/Jacksonville, Florida, begins September 8.
