Divergent: the reason behind the scene cut

Divergent will release on Blu-ray and DVD with cut off a scene from the movie. The deleted scene shows one of the dauntless initiates suffering a severe eye wound... to put it mildly, says director Neil Burger.

The movie based on the same novel name by Veronica Roth. The scene really cut due to cause of violence, not for rating. The cut scene is mostly interrupting the flow of the story. The cut clip shows Tris and some of the other initiates waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of the agonizing screams of Edward (Ben Lamb), one of the leading Dauntless initiates.

The movie stars Shailene Woodley (The Spectacular Now), Theo James, Ashley Judd, Miles Teller, and Kate Winslet in a dystopian post-apocalyptic world where humans are split into factions.

Divergent is a thrilling action drama movie in which society divided into five fractions that each represents a different virtue, teenager will decide whether they want to live in their fraction or switch to another in rest of their lives.

Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) is a divergent that she keeps secret and she does not fit any group. Tris Prior and her fellow faction-members make a choice to have live through a highly competitive initiation process. They must go on a process of extreme physical and intense psychological tests, which transforms them all. Tris Prior discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, this secret might help her save the people she loves... or it might destroy her.
