As we knew in few days before
news that Hurricane Arthur will reach in east and north coast till Friday.
Arthur had maintained winds of 80 mph, whose centre was located 95 miles
south-southwest of Chatham, MA, and is racing northeast at 28 mph.
It was expecting the high damages
from the Arthur but it was normal and some little damages. It disappeared into North
Carolina coast Friday. “It will be a beautiful weekend, so get
out and enjoy our beaches,” Gov. Pat McCrory said.
Many of the barrier islands had
been evacuated over two days of the most important tourism week
of the summer. Most of the tourists kept on beaches. The governor’s main
message was: Come back. McCrory gave thanks to coastal
N.C. communities and beaches that they kept visitors and citizens safe during
the storm and secure from the effects from a moderate storm surge
in inland sounds and rivers.
Hurricane Arthur became a hurdle
in an Independence Day parade where thousands of citizens came together to celebrate
this day.
He thought of canceling the trip
as the storm brewed but decided against it. “It’s a doable storm,” Criner said.
