Joey Chestnut won Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest by eating 61 dogs



The great Joey Chestnut has won 2014 title in the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, eating 61 hot dogs in 10 minutes. He made a world record by winning the contest eighth time in his career and also proposed his girlfriend during contest.

Although he was short of his own record of 69 dogs, he won the 2014 title in contest which was broadcast live on ESPN from Coney Island, New York.  This year it was a serious challenge at the main event from Matt Stonie. As pointed out, the two were neck and neck in the closing minutes: Stonie finished 56 dogs, on the other side Joey gave more stretch to pull away down for stunning win.

Before starting the contest Joey took her girlfriend Neslie Ricasa on stage and nervously he proposed and his girlfriend accepted to happily says "Yes." 

The 30 year old Joey has been making a record for almost a decade. When he came on the screen in 2007, he defeated previous champion Takeru Kobayashi. Chestnut told TMZ before the event that he wanted to see his former rival once again, saying, "I miss competing against him. He's a great competitor."
