Attorney General Eric Holder resigns. Who will replace?

President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder announced surprised news on Thursday that Eric will resign from the position of Attorney General. Now in everyone’s mind a question raises that who will replace Eric? 

Eric also is a personal friend of President Obama. President appreciated the Eric’s work and said "Eric has done a superb job". President also added, under supervision of Eric there had decreased crime and incarceration rates in the U.S, first time in decades. 

Holder filled his eyes with tears after the president speech and said "We have been great colleagues, but the bonds between us are much deeper than that”. "I’m proud to call you my friend." 

Here are some names that can choose in place of Eric. Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is a friend of President Obama and now he is working as an assistant attorney general in the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department.

Solicitor General Donald Verrilli Jr., has served as a Solicitor General since 2011 and it is assuming that Holder will replace with young and more diverse candidate. The another name which can replace Holder is California Attorney General Kamala Harris, she is the first female whose name will suggest to this position, she best known  for her legal work. Kathy Ruemmler has been served as White House counsel since 2011.

Preet Bharara is working as the U.S. attorney for New York's Southern District, can be selected in place of Eric. The other name Jeh Johnson, he was a lawyer for the Department of Defense. One another name which can come in place of Eric Loretta Lynch, who is now working as the U.S. attorney in New York's Eastern District.
