“The Patriot” actress Skye McCole Bartusiak has died at 21

The best known actress in “The Patriot” movie Skye McCole Bartusiak, has died on Saturday. She died at age of 21 at her Texas home. Sky’s mother, Helen McCole Bartusiak revealed the devastating news to media and said “We lost our girl”; “She was a kind and really beautiful girl”.

According to Texas Police Skye’ body discovered inside the garage apartment located behind her home about 9 a.m. Saturday morning. The cause of death not immediately known and the body scheduled for an autopsy. The Police reported she had been died in her sleep and no suspect found at the present time.

Helen told to Police Skye had been suffering from epileptic seizures for past few days. She said “We think she had a seizure and choked and nobody was there”.

Skye started her acting career just at age of six years and she played first role in movie The Cider House Rules in 1999. She played a wonderful role in movie “The Patriot” in which she played the young daughter of Mel Gibson’s character in the film. She also starred alongside the late Heath Ledger and Jason Isaacs.          

Skye Bartusiak also played a role on small screen shows such as House, Lost, 24 and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

It’s so sad that Hollywood industry has lost her wonderful and genius actress. Our thoughts and grief go out with Skye’ family and friends in this difficult time.
