James Brady: a white house Press secretary has died at 73



A former White House press secretary James Brady, who served assassination attempt of shots on the President Ronald Reagan in 1981 and later on he served as a gun control advocate. He died at age of 73 on 4th August 2014.

Brady has died after a series of health issues, his family confirmed Brady’s death at in Alexandria, Virginia.

James took a direct hit of shot on his forehead when The President Ronald Reagan had wounded by a ricocheting bullet that lodged in his chest at outside of Washington, D.C., hotel. 

After suffering a head wound, James Brady reported dead at one point by television commentators. James was suffered from a partially paralyzed and spent his rest of life at wheel chair.

Brady would become a potent symbol of the dangers of handgun violence, and started a campaign with his wife Sarah, for tougher gun control laws. 

The President Barack Obama paid tribute to Brady's legacy on Monday.

The Brady Campaign also acknowledged his death in a tweet: "We are heartbroken over James Brady's passing. We offer our deepest condolences to his wife, Sarah, and their family."
