Protest against Ferguson violence over shooting of Michael Brown

Violence erupted in the street of Ferguson for killing of an unarmed black teenager a few days ago; police fired smoke bombs and tear gas at demonstrators.

Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson said he was going with his family when he received a call from sergeant and he said there has been an officer who involved in shooting of 18 year old teenager.

After that Jackson made a U-turn, in the meantime he called to the chief of the St. Louis County police and asked him to take jurisdiction.

“I get a call that says there’s an officer involved in a shooting and the other person is dead, do I want to investigate that, how’s that going to appear in the community?”

Police sealed off the area where violence has occurred.

President Obama was briefed on the situation, a White House spokesman tweeted.

St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said in an interview outside the command post. “If there was an easy way to fix this, we would have already solved the problem.”
