amazing, the 2014 VMA show are here!
The 2014 MTV
Video Music Awards aired Sunday, August 24 at 9 pm on MTV that shows the honoring
achievements in music videos of the year. This year’ award show will also a
full of surprises as like previous years.
The show started
with the performance by singer, Ariana Grande in her hit “Break Free”, after
that performed by Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Usher, Sam
Smith, Iggy Azalea and 2014 Vanguard award winner Beyonce.
Miley Cyrus won the top honor in The 2014
MTV Video Music Awards. Miley Cyrus’s "Wrecking Ball" won the award for
video of the year.
The night’s
biggest moment when Beyonce performed on stage and look to her husband Jay Z and
2 year old daughter Blue Ivy. Beyonce
received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award and her family with her on
stage.
Nicki Minaj opened the show with her performance
on “Bang Bang” after that her Anaconda’ video. Snakes were not the part of performance.
Taylor Swift performed for the first
time live on her new song "Shake It Off".
Ariana Grande won best pop video for
her smash single "Problem." Katy
Perry won best female video for "Dark Horse" with Juicy J.
The rapper Common held a moment of silence for Michael Brown, the 18 year old unarmed
boy who fatally shot by the police officer on August 9, before he presented the
award for best hip-hop video.
Hip-hop has
always been about truth and has been a powerful instrument of social change,
from Melle Mel to Public Enemy to Kendrick Lamar," Common said.
"Hip-hop has always been presented a voice for the revolution."
There was also
a brief tribute to the late Robin
Williams with a song "A Sky Full of Stars."
