David Whitthoft was seven years old when he started to wear ( wear everyday with regular washing by his mom) his Brett Favre jersey. On his 12th birthday on April 23rd, he finally gave up his Jersey which he got more than four years ago on Christmas.
David Witthoft has given up his Brett Favre jersey for the first time after 1,581 days. The 12-year-old boy wore the No. 4 jersey every day after he received it as a gift for Christmas in 2003. Chuck Witthoft,David's father, conceded his son was starting to become concerned about his looks after the jersey barely came down to his belt line.
