Gay Couples may divorce in Rhode Island

Rhode Island is a sad place for gay couples. Representative Al Gemma believes that a marriage should only be between man and woman. However as per his bill submitted to the Judiciary Committee, Rhode Island must allow gay couples married elsewhere to seek divorce in the Rhode Island Courts.

The Rhode Island laws do not put a approval stamp on Gay marriages. However after a gay couple married in Massachusetts was not allowed to divorce in Rhode Island, Al Gemma put forward this bill.
