The Islamic State militants
released a video on Sunday which shows that the head of an American aid
worker Peter Kassig at the feet ISIS militant. Peter Kassing was
caught last year at a checkpoint in northeastern Syria while delivering medical
supplies.
President Obama confirmed his
death and said in a statement Mr. Kassig “was taken from us in an act of pure
evil by a terrorist group.” The President was the first person who officially confirmed
his death.
Peter refused to read the
Jihadist speech that was prepared and suggested by his captors before they killed
Kassing. After converting to Islam, Peter changed his name to Abdul-Rahman. When
death of the British aid worker Alan Henning confirmed this was appeared on the
last tape on 3 October showed that Mr. Kassig was next in line.
Each video shows that the murder
of one hostage and announce the next in line. The world had already learnt from
the killing of US journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff and a British aid
worker, David Haine.
The clip shows the head of 26
year old Peter kassing at the feet of a man with a British accent who has
already appeared in previous videos and has nicknamed Jihadi John by the
British news media.
In the video, the militant says:
'This is Peter Edward Kassig, a U.S. citizen of your country. Peter, who fought
against the Muslims in Iraq while serving as a soldier under the American army,
doesn't have much to say. His previous cell mates have already spoken on his
behalf.
'But we say to you Obama ... you
claim to have withdrawn from Iraq four years ago. We said to you then that you
are liars, that you have not withdrawn and that if you had withdrawn that you
would return, even if after some time.
President paid tribute today to
Kassing and used the Muslim name Abdul-Rahman. Our prayers and condolence are
with Peter’ parents who plea to ISIS for son’s return.
