Xbox Live

An online multiplayer gaming are having problem to the users for signing into and hacker group Lizard Squad is taking credit.

While Microsoft's service status page doesn’t report any problems, Xbox owners on Twitter are reporting issues, and I personally have been getting an 8015909 error code whenever I’ve tried to sign in. polygon reported that some users are receiving error messages but it is not clear with examples.

The group was warned that this attack was much bigger on Christmas “That’s a small dose of what’s to come on Christmas. #LizardSquad.”

Lizard Squad has made a name for itself taking credit for a number of high-profile Distributed Denial of Service Attacks (DDOS).

At time of writing, the Xbox Live Status page doesn’t show any problems, and Microsoft is normally remarkably good at notifying users of issues. It has updated the page during DDOS attacks in the past, for example, although it doesn’t usually explain the reason for downtime.

Microsoft did not give any comment for this temporary down time.
